All iPhone Apps Aren’t Always Good to your Child

Apple already has some 900,000 apps in its Apple Store and the number is still growing. They have released a six-page guideline document for developers that acts as a helping tool. However, they still have limited staffing to censor all the apps that reach their iPhone for approval.

There have been hundreds of apps that have to be pulled off because they were scams, violated Apple’s rules of collecting data (data mining), their ad policy (marketing schemes), contained porn, promoted violence and some were mere misses on the staff’s part. There can be many aspects to one’s concern when it comes to apps usage and even Apple can’t make sure completely that they will only have the best on their market though they really try very hard to achieve it.

There have been apps that are total fakes that don’t do as they claim and just copy other major apps. Some of the apps allow free desktop like search on the iPhone that had to be pulled off as it encouraged pornography among tweens and teens. Apple even had to issue an apology for some apps like Baby Shaker after pulling its plug where the player kills a baby by shaking it to death which caused two large red Xs on the baby’s eyes in the highly controversial app.

Then, of course kids have ways around using whatever apps they like to install and use through third-party apps and by getting the admin access to their iPhone. The world of apps and its many dangers don’t end with Apple’s strict app policy. But it can only be done with an iPhone monitoring software that will block, filter and monitor iPhone activities in complete stealth mode to know the real nature of kids and their intentions. One such relevant software in the market is Mobile Spy that provides the safety around iPhone apps usage in children.

Mobile Spy as a silent iPhone monitoring service that runs in the background of the smartphone and lets the child fully do the calling, browsing, playing games, texting and surfing the web without a sign of it in the background. It will record every call information, photo, video, all chats, SMS text, IM, URL, app, social networking logs for Facebook/Twitter, YouTube, emails and even Gmail logs. It also comes with logs for tasks; calendar and parents have the option to remotely uninstall it from the iPhone from any internet connected device. With the live control panel option parents also can get instant GPS logs, can view the live screen and even send commands like initiate a call/SMS or lock the device remotely. The Mobile Spy software is a great service for all parents who wishes to keep track of their kid’s app usage on their iPhone and prevent other violent content from their mobile internet experience.

iPhone Spy Software as an Essential Medicine

Scholars say that social media is like a drug and perhaps they mean it too can be addictive. Well we all know there are many addictions and we can certainly add another with social media addictions. We have our addiction with being workaholics, shopping, food, computers and technology and yes of course social quotients on social media websites.

Please note no one on the planet can ever tell or write about personal addictions that are specific to everyone. Like some may love their burgers, others love their steaks. People may love their pork, beef, lamb or chicken and all this is subjective even to the point what piece of the meat one prefers. Also there are thousands of people who are part or complete vegetarians and don’t eat meat at all. The point here is that a drug can be anything for an individual and each individual likes different things.

Addiction and a Nation

Killing by civilians against other people, there must be something wrong with that. I am all for safety and precautions however there is a limit to it as well. One person owing an assault rifles for personal safety and many other guns? In a recent killing of 27 people in Newtown, CT where 20 kids were killed between the ages of 5-7 does call for reforms. There are countries and places where 90% of its civilians don’t even have one gun and they would not even have 911 to call. There exists a paradox everywhere and it comes down to the balance between safety and law.

It is true that if there are good people there will be bad people as well and the bad will find their ways to do what they do. Why give someone such dangerous equipment when bigger is not always better. How many times are we finding things that best suit our needs like spy monitoring software that is just apt for our needs. One doesn’t need all the controls and every control on their children and employers. Everyone is looking for custom solutions and the majority of what people have to say on bigger issues should count for a nation. A balance needs to be maintained.

We instead need to treat and provide for beds to the sick and help the needy. Most people feel disconnected with friend & family and shouldn’t that be addressed. It isn’t a mental problem rather it is a situational upsurge in thoughts. It is time that people who are healthy and wise enough provide a helping hand and support. Don’t forget to pay heed to your loved one’s activities online and offline. Most internet activities can be monitored using capable parental spy software like PhoneSheriff that logs call info, SMS texts, websites, contacts, apps, photos, videos, GPS logs and even calendar details. With its filtering feature restrict Facebook addiction and limit phone use, even get instant alerts for abusive use about sexting, cyber stalking and predators. Keeping faith and not eschewing responsibility can help families survive through the tough times.

A Safer New Year for Our Social Media Networking Children

We live in a world where almost anyone and everyone are affected by the power of social media. Be it businesses or societies, social media has become a tool for everyone to connect and participate in a collective communication of the world. There are various websites which have come up with unique platforms of social networking and are empowered by the support of millions of users every day. A large part of these users include teens and young children.

Children of the modern age are enabled with advanced technology made accessible through modern gadgets like laptops, smartphones and tablets. These gadgets make the usage of social networking activities more convenient to the user. Children spend their days and nights chasing status updates and chatting with their friends. It works in a social networking cycle where they make all the children quite popular in the social media sphere. They pursue their networking around the clock and keep up with the upcoming trend to stay in the game.

Perhaps, for a child it may seem all fascinating. But the real truth behind social media activities depends on how much you really learn from it than the popularity quotient. The exhaustion of constantly thriving for the social media race puts children on the mark where they start to lose a connection with their real world. It is found that too much of such activities may bear harmful effects on their health and mind. Children are seen leaving behind their duties, performing poorly in their academic life and being careless with food and outdoor exercise.

Along with health drawbacks, social networking poses a bigger threat on children’s fate. Online safety of children is under heavy risk, there are all sorts of predators seeking children to exploit them. When children try to communicate with anyone on the internet through such sites, they are never sure about the real identity or intentions of such strangers. Online pirates can even hack into children’s smartphones by sending malware and other viruses. And amidst millions of users, it is hard to pinpoint the ones who might be planning to hurt your children.

Parents and guardians need to make sure that social networking doesn’t harm their children. They need to monitor children’s online activities with the help of smartphone monitoring software such as PhoneSheriff. It is a brilliant program which is compatible with many operating systems including iPhones, Blackberry, and Android smartphones. PhoneSheriff records all the activities children perform on their smartphone such as call log info, email, chat/IM conversations, SMS texts and more. Parents can even track their children’s location using its GPS monitoring features. Above all, it works in complete stealth mode without alarming your children so that you could dutifully monitor their activities and keep the dangers away before hand. With a gift of such smart measures, you and your children will eventually enter into a safer and brighter New Year.

Kids iPhone Activities: Need for Monitoring ‘The Smart Way’

One of the best available smartphones on earth is the iPhone with Apple generating more than 50% of the total global profit from cell phone sales. Its had six generations so far with iPhone 5 being the latest and each upgrade of the previous one comes loaded with improved and added features. Some common activities on iPhone include:
  • Calls: Well the primitive reason why people used to have mobile phones was to call each other and the purpose of using iPhone to make calls has reduced but can’t be completely replaced with chatting or texting. Making calls has been taken to the next level with Face Time a feature that allows a video call between two iPhone smartphone users with high quality and the touch feature is disabling when the screen touches the face. Since kids and teens shouldn’t be video calling everyone, parents need to be watchful of who, how and when are the chatting.
  • Texting, Chatting and Social Networking: With many social networking sites like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc. kids have their dose of virtual networking nothing like the same way with their iPhone. Now if kids are tired to texting they can use Voxie Pro Recorder that lets them speak their text. In case teens want to connect to Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube on one website they can use Ziibii app. They can also talk to strangers from any part of the world with Twitter World translation service. There are many free apps that allow chatting on different platforms like Gtalk, Yahoo, ICQ, and MSN easily and one such is IM+. GeoTwitter automatically attaches map links to tweets and Twitter boost will help find cool people. Birdhouse lets your kids save their ideas and future tweets and take them while on the move. Tweens and teens have everything made simple with iPhone however they can easily be over sharing, meeting predators and getting addicted.
  • Photos and Videos: Facebook PixSter allows uploading photos directly from iPhone, and with VideoUp, videos can be easily uploaded on Facebook. Facebook Easy status lets your kids update status while on the go and with FaceMic they can even send audio updates with this app. All this is just a glimpse of the possibilities of iPhone and there are more than 585,000 apps.
There are many bad apps as well depending on the taste and purpose of use. Kids can be using many such apps on their iPhone without telling you (as no child shares that information). Also when using such apps they can be incurring huge bills and recently Apple was sued by parents for developing games that stimulate dopamine release and so the child continue playing as he is offered rewards and exciting visuals. The news of a Taiwanese 18 year old dying from paying Diablo, one of the most addictive games for 40 straight hours should be a lesson for us. Parents can install powerful recommended monitoring software such as Mobile Spy onto their kids’ iPhone to track activities. The personal dash board with complete calls, emails, chats, and IMs, photos and videos logs will be a smart start to safety online.

Nomophobia Turning Into An Epidemic Among Employees

If you can’t help checking on your mobile phone for no reason and can’t live without having it around you at all times, chances are that you are suffering from a mental illness called Nomophobia. It is the fear of having no mobile phones around and leads to a fixation with your mobile phone, day and night.

As observed most employees have a mobile phone losing phobia where they can’t live without their cell phone even for a sec. The only difference is that in some cases, it is at an extreme level regarded as mental illness. These people are unnecessarily bothered about their mobile phones, they either obsess about new messages or live in a constant anticipation with battery life or bad networks.

This behavior is not normal since their minds remain engrossed with their mobiles. They actually keep them away from normalcy. The anxiety transforms into many other diseases like abnormal immune system, high blood pressure, diabetes etc.

One may think what tricks a person to suffer from nomophobia from a normal mobile user, the answer is the extent of usage. Normally, a person checks on messages, receives calls and replies to them on his mobile phones. And then, they keep it somewhere close. But a sufferer of nomophobia can’t do that so easily.

The problem arises when they have reached at an exhaustive state of usage where habituate of constantly receiving and sending mobile messages. This grips their mind and they tend to become mobile addicts as the time passes. It is observant only when one’s peace is disturbed by experiencing uneasiness of the loss of having mobile phones around or not working properly. Then they are found to be unable to put their mobile phones away or to turn it off.

While being on a social networking site, people get accustomed to checking updates. They put their Facebook status and then keep checking on comments and staying hooked with their mobile phones. The addiction gets severe when it is flamed by the respondents, who by their commenting habit complete the cycle.

Similarly with Twitter, when you’re in a habit of checking on constant feeds, one can’t help doing that round the clock. These habits become excuses to what could be a collective symptom of nomophobia.

At office, employees need to use their phone constantly. It involves constant passage of emails, messages and phone calls. It is reported that almost half of working Americans check and respond to their emails in bed, on a holiday or even while driving. This affects their health and work efficiency.

Employers are concerned about employee’s time utilization. Thus, they’ve started monitoring employee’s mobile phones with PhoneSheriff, a smart mobile monitoring software. With this iPhone spy software, employers can keep a live check on their employees’ mobile activities. This helps them to look after work efficiency.

Nomophobia can be maintained if a person tries to be patient and slowly drop the anxiety of mobile phones. It can be done by starting with not checking the messages instantly and giving oneself enough time to respond. Also, one needs to stop bothering too much about battery or network of mobile phones to get rid of this illness.

Vlogging is Getting Popular Among Kids Everywhere

Social media is very popular among kids of this generation. Millions of kids under 13 have accounts on Facebook and Twitter. To mention an important thing here is just because a child is over 13, doesn’t mean he is completely safe there and knows it all (even elders are still learning). It would be just apt to say that the older generation had internet and information even 10—20 years ago as well, however today the portability of gadgets and the fast speed of internet has made all the difference that kids are constantly being bullied and are becoming victims far too often.

Some bad judgments and taste takes away the good that was YouTube.

YouTube is a great website where anyone can upload videos and these become available for everyone to view. Actually it is very useful for learning many things about different aspects of life, fashion, science and art. Learning gets an edge with sight and videos take it to the next level, reducing barriers of distance and time. Since these videos are available 24/7 and all one needs is an internet connection and your audience can be anyone in the world. This can seriously cause many cons and much precaution needs to be taken as what one is posting and uploading on such sites.

Fame and YouTube

There is a connection with being famous and doing things differently. Most famous people are either celebrities, singers, artists, writers, technology experts, researchers, scientists, doctors, etc. The reason to mention that was to clear the air that these people do big/reputable things and they do things outstandingly. They also may have many interview videos about their lives and careers giving out details and insight in their lives, til now that was the good side of YouTube however the bad side is really bad!

Kids and tweens uploading videos asking,” Do you think I am fat and ugly”. Teens are uploading their videos asking if at all they look good and pretty. They are not secure and no amount of social networking is helping either. Here what would really help is proper monitoring of what kids are doing online and knowing about their thoughts as how they perceive themselves and the extend they are fitting in. Technology like many know has its positive side and negative side. We as parents need to expose our kids to the positive side of it so they grow up as informed, educated, and technologically savvy.

Parents can install monitoring software like PhoneSheriff for their mentoring and monitoring needs as both have to go hand in hand. All monitoring and subsequent mentoring can be done with logs on calls, texts, emails, videos and photos taken by their child’s iPhone. First class filtering features like blocking websites, calls, SMS, and with time restrictions parents would keep less tensed and worried.

Apple Did It Again: New iPad Mini Is Here

Only a few weeks has passed since Apple launched the iPhone 5, the latest of the world’s super selling smartphone. And it has returned dazzlingly in no time with new iPad Mini, a mini version of its own tablet market leading gadget iPad.

“We’ve got a little more to show you.” With that, Apple Inc. has once again thrilled the world of technology by inviting media on what is called by the company as a “special event”. The invitation-only event took place at the California Theater in San Jose, on October 23rd.

Brian White, analyst at Topeka Capital reportedly said, “We actually had the opportunity to play with a pilot iPad Mini used by one of the vendors. This 7.85-inch iPad Mini fit in our hands like a glove and we were easily able to tuck the device in our sport coat, offering consumers a more mobile iPad experience for certain use cases.” It has also been reported that production of 10 million of the new iPad Mini devices might have initiated already and that it’ll be available to buy from November 2nd onwards.

The iPad Mini has a 7.85-inch display, smaller from its 10-inch screen counterparts in the tablet market. It carries a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and powered by a dual-core A5 processor. This will come with the new lightning connector that was unveiled during the launch of Apple iPhone 5.

Gadget gurus have commented upon the critical timing of this event. This announcement has come just three days before Microsoft released the Surface, its much anticipated entrance into the tablet market as well. Also it’s two days before Apple will report its quarterly earnings.

We know that Apple is currently the most valuable company in the world and its product is even so. All its product range has risen to become the tablet and smartphone market leader in no time, but this may not be the case with iPad Mini.

Since other competitors have a strong hold in its market segment, Apple will have to face Google and Amazon, which are offering their tablets at a far more economic price compared to what Apple is known to price its products. And before gifting a new tablet to children, parents should consider installing a powerful tablet monitoring software to keep track of activities and make sure they are using their new device safely and properly.

iPad Mini is said to start off at the $329 mark at least for its 8GB version. This move is also seen as a marketing strategy where Apple may be hurt on reducing its profit margin but may supersede its competitors in the long run. Nearing its reportage day of quarter earnings, it has to be smarter to stay competitive with this new launch.

Apple has a history of surprising its customers and competitors with its innovations which are always ahead the times, this time is no different. Just a little bit of wait, before Apple does it all over again.
